Jesus Still Raises The Dead!

I absolutely love testimonies of the power of God. They are monuments to the power of God, builders of faith, and how we keep our eyes focused on our great big God over these little bitty giants in our land.

I've sat on this post for 2 weeks, till I could verify the info myself... so here goes!

Here's the story of the night two weeks ago that Jesus raised a 5-year-old little boy from the DEAD.

Tuesday, September 1, 2020, Clifton Potter (my evangelist brother-in-law) drove about an hour away to preach for a little church in the country. In fact, there were initially only 6 people at church that night, including the 2 that came with Clifton.

Before church started, the pastor told Clifton that one of his friends, Isaac, would not be at church that night. His 5-year-old son Zachary got into the medicine and drank most of a bottle of liquid Sudafed.

The paramedics had visited the home, checked the boy out, and just warned the dad to keep his eye on him for the next 24 hours or so. Isaac let the pastor know he'd be staying home and taking care of Zachary that night.

But Clifton had the pastor call Isaac up and asked him to bring the boy to church so Clifton and the church could lay hands on him and pray for him. He told me, he just felt led to pray for the little boy.

Church had just basically started when Isaac, Zachary, and Isaac's mom walked in. Someone was singing when suddenly Isaac began yelling his son's name and shaking him. As his dad held him and sang along, little Zachary closed his eyes and died.

Clifton said Isaac began to yell and cry then ran and threw his little son into Clifton's arms. Clifton said you could immediately tell that Zach's lips were blue, his face was ashen, around his eyes was dark, and he had no discernable heartbeat. He was dead.

They all gathered around and began to pray as Clifton put his mouth over Zach's and commanded life to come back into his body in the name of Jesus.

I asked Clifton the following question because I know how we all think: "Did you blow air into his mouth? Were you doing CPR?"

He said: "NO. I did not blow, I prayed. My first thought was of Elisha the prophet (2 Kings 4) and how he put his mouth on his mouth and prayed."

Within moments the little boy gasped a little and started breathing very shallow breaths and his face began to pink up. They kept praying but he stopped breathing again, his lips turning blue, his heartbeat gone once again.

This time Clifton said he pushed through the people standing around him praying and laid Zachary on the altar, then laid down on top of him, exactly like Elisha the prophet did.

Once again, his mouth over Zachary's, Clifton began to command life to return to his body in the name of Jesus.

This time little Zachary went to breathing again, no cough or gasp, just started breathing. His face once again turned pink, his lips went back to their normal color, and he lay there breathing, eyes closed. He was back!

Someone called 911 and they kept praying, Clifton said, while rubbing his chest. Within just a few minutes the paramedics arrived and checked his vitals. His heart rate was at 122 and his oxygen level was in the mid 80's range.

They took him to the hospital, ending up at T. C. Thompson Children's Hospital in Chattanooga, for observation for almost 2 days. They would have let him go sooner, but he fell asleep at one point and they had to use medication to wake him up, so they wanted to observe him an extra day.

They ran a blood test and told his dad, there are NO traces of medication in his system—which is highly unusual and unlikely. There should have been traces of the Sudafed in his body but they found NONE... God erased it all!!!

Isaac and his mother came to our little church 2 nights later and all they could do was weep and praise God as Clifton told our church this story.

3 days later Isaac was back at church so I asked him how Zachary was doing - still totally fine! He gives the Lord Jesus ALL the praise and glory for raising his little boy from the dead. Little Zachary is home and doing perfectly fine, no sign of any lasting effects from his brush with death!

Clifton told me on vacation last week that this miracle has had a deeply emotional effect on him. He said he still thinks about that moment and weeps.... that God would use the weakest of us, the least of us, to do such a marvelous miracle.

The 2 young men that were with him that night said they were so overcome in the moment, all they could do was repent for any sin in their life and pray. No one spoke all the way home. It was just a holy and profoundly emotional event.

Jesus said, "I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death." Revelations 1:18

Our God is the only god who ever predicted His own death, burial, and resurrection... all by His own power! He alone holds all authority over death and the grave. He alone determines all our times—birth, life, death—and He is trustworthy. You can place your life and death into His caring and capable hands.

No giant in your life is too big for God... not even the giants of death, cancer, epilepsy, heart disease, schizophrenia, divorce, poverty, fear, doubt, anxiety... NOTHING is impossible for God!

This is just one of a few testimonies I shared in a Facebook live yesterday. If you're struggling with your faith to believe Him for what you need, I encourage you to immediately begin to fill your mind and heart with faith-building testimonies of how He's moved for others... because He'll do that and more for you!

Jesus loves you. Not because of anything good you have done, but simply because you belong to Him. He created you, redeemed you back to Himself with His own blood, and now He longs to fellowship with you. Don't let the devil or anyone else tell you any differently.

Feed faith, starve fear.

Be blessed!

Amy
